Have questions about GSMBC membership?
You’re in the right place! This FAQ covers everything from eligibility and joining, to membership tiers, renewal, accessing webinars, online courses, mentor training, and Pro Deals. Find clear answers and helpful tips to make the most of your GSMBC membership experience.
MEMBERSHIP ELIGIBILITY & JOINING

Certified coaches can join directly here: Membership for GSMBC Certified Coaches

Yes you can! Everyone is welcome to join at the START membership level. As a certified MTB coach or instructor you can also join at the TRAIN or EVOLVE membership tiers if you if you meet the following certification requirements:
Certification must cover teaching skills to recreational riders on beginner–intermediate terrain.
Include at least 1 day of on-bike training (e.g., GSMBC Apprentice Coach Course or PMBIA Ride Guide Module).
Issued within the last 5 years by a recognized coach or instructor certification body (examples include national cycling or mountain biking governing bodies, PMBIA, BICP, or NZOIA).More details here: Non-certified Membership Requirements

Memberships are yearly subscriptions and will automatically renew until cancelled. To cancel, go to your account settings once you’re logged in.

MEMBERSHIP RENEWAL

Members on any tier (START, TRAIN, or EVOLVE) can access the monthly free community webinars through your membership account.

Masterclasses are available to certified coaches with TRAIN or EVOLVE memberships. Access and purchase them is via the “Masterclass (paid) Webinar” tile on your dashboard.

EVOLVE members: You automatically have access to all masterclasses. The webinar link will appear in your dashboard.
TRAIN members: Open the “Masterclass (paid) Webinar” tile on your dashboard. After the general information, you’ll see purchase links on the right-hand side of the page.

Add the course or webinar to your cart, then enter your coupon code on the checkout page before payment.

Community and Masterclass webinars for the next 12 months are listed here: Webinar Schedule or in your dashboard under the webinar tiles.

Yes!
Community webinars: recordings are posted shortly after the session.
Masterclass webinars: recordings are available in your membership area if registered (TRAIN members) or automatically for EVOLVE members.
We encourage attending live whenever possible for Q&A and interaction opportunities.

Courses can be purchased through the “Online Education Courses” tile in your dashboard. Once purchased, the course will appear in your dashboard and you can complete it at your own pace.
